I love the collaborative process of storytelling in filmmaking. Makeup is the one component that is most effective when it is unobtrusive: creating the illusion of reality. I have always believed that makeup gives visualization to the director's image of the character and the actor's interpretation/reflection of that character. Together we create the image we want the audience to see.
