As a Professional Make-Up Artist with over 20 years of experience, I have worked in the NYC and Philadelphia market as department key for film, TV, commercials, music videos and stage.  SFX is a domain I have always enjoyed working in, which include: bullet holes, aging, wounds, burns, deformity, alien/other worldly, scars, death, tattoos, bald caps, facial hair and prosthetics. Good SFX can make the difference in a project’s professional appearance and story believability.

Having worked as an actress (AFTRA/SAG) and as a teaching/performing artist, I've always enjoyed the art of telling a story and being a part of the creative process, both in front of the camera as well as behind the scenes. Make-up is the one component in filmmaking that is most effective when it is subtle; un-noticeable, creating the illusion of reality. When special effects are involved the objective is to create a new reality reflecting the circumstances of the story. Make-up gives visualization to the director's image of the character in the moments of the story and the actor's interpretation/reflection of that character in those moments. Together we create the image we want the audience to see.
